New Arrival at the Rhodes Project: Saumya Krishna

We are thrilled to announce that Saumya Krishna (Ontario & Somerville 2014) will be joining the Rhodes Project in June 2015 as the new Profile Coordinator. Saumya's profile was recently added to the Profile Series, and can be found here.

Saumya is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government. With a passion for entrepreneurship and social enterprise, she has been extensively involved in startup ventures in Canada. She co-founded the Youth Social Innovation Capital Fund, which provides early-stage financing to young social entrepreneurs in Canada. This impact investment fund was a finalist for the Most Promising New Financial Player in the Social Finance Awards 2012, and was awarded the Ontario Trillium Foundation Future Fund grant. In 2011, she was selected as one of ‘The Next 36’ high-impact entrepreneurial leaders in Canada. Saumya is also a member of the Global Shapers community for the World Economic Forum, and presently Curator of its Oxford Hub. She completed her BHSc at the University of Western Ontario through the Scholar’s Electives program, focusing on the health sciences and sociology, and graduating with the academic gold medal.
